BB Naija 2021 kicks off Shine Ya Eye, unveils 22 contestants

Themed “Shine Ya Eye”, Africa’s biggest reality Tv series Big Brother Naija Season 6 has kicked off following its 2-day ground breaking  premiere and unveiling of 22 housemates.

The contestants, made up of 11 males and 11 females will be competing for the grand prize of N90million on the 10-week long reality TV show. BB Naija Shine Ya Eye comes with promises of fun, suspense, engagement, entertainment and diverse plot twists as the housemates fight to emerge the winner by entertaining their growing fans and avoiding eviction from the house with the help of viewers who would vote to keep them on the show.

The 11 female contestants are: 21 year old Angel Smith from Akwa Ibom state; Peace Ogo, 26 year old from Rivers state; Jackie B, 29 year old from Adamawa state; Tega from Cross Rivers State;Arinola Olowoporoku 29 years old; 26 year old popular Nigerian dancer, Roselyn AKA liquorose; Maria Nkechiyenre, 29 years old from Imo State; Beatrice, Port Harcourt, Rivers State; Princess Francis, 30 year old from Imo state; Saskay, 21 year old from Adamawa State; Anita AKA Nini, 26 year old from Edo State.

The 11 male contestants are: Cross, a fitness centre and spa owner; Sammie a student and filmmaker; Emmanuel, 24 year old model, entrepreneur, and former Mr. Africa; Actor and TV Presenter, JayPaul; Medical doctor and polymath, Yerins; Businessman, Niyi; Business man, White Money; Registered Nurse and actor, Pere; Biracial model and teacher, Yousef; 21 year old engineer, Saga; and masseuse and mixologist, Boma.

According to the organizers, Big Brother Naija has been opened to people in the diaspora. This means that millions of people will be interacting from home and abroad, as well as have voting powers.

BBNaija fans in the United Kingdom will have access to the live 24/7 show via African online streaming service, Showmax; and for the first time, MultiChoice has announced there will be no SMS voting for this season; all voting will be done via the Big Brother Naija website, mobile site, MyDStv, and MyGOtv apps.
