Aralepo joins Forbes Finance Council

Renowned finance professional, Oluwatoyin Aralepo, has been appointed as an official member of the esteemed Forbes Finance Council. 

This prestigious recognition underscores her exceptional expertise and leadership in the finance industry.

She boasts an impressive educational background, holding a first-class Accounting degree.

She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Institute of Information Management of Africa. Furthermore, she is an esteemed alumna of the London School of Business and Finance (LSBF).

With over 15 years of experience across banking, telecommunications, and fintech, Aralepo possesses a diverse skill set that includes finance strategy and business partnering, financial planning and analysis, audit and business assurance, and financial controls and governance.

Currently, Toyin Aralepo serves as the Director of Finance, Programs FP&A at the Mastercard Foundation. In this crucial role, she leverages her expertise to drive financial strategies and provide valuable insights to support the foundation’s programs.

Prior to joining the Mastercard Foundation, Aralepo held the position of Director Corporate Excellence & Programme Management at IHS Towers. Her responsibilities included organizing and prioritizing critical strategic, financial, and operational information, enabling effective and efficient decision-making by the CEO, among other key functions.

Aralepo has established herself as a commercially astute business leader and finance professional, accumulating over two decades of experience. She has earned recognition as a strategic finance expert, renowned for building robust financial structures and leveraging her expertise in finance management, business development consulting, financial modeling and analysis, and investments management.

Throughout her illustrious career, she has also made significant contributions in the banking, telecommunications, and fintech sectors. She served as the Head of Budget at United Bank for Africa, where she was responsible for overseeing budget preparation and consolidation for over 400 business offices.

Additionally, she held pivotal positions as the Commercial Controller and Financial Controller at Airtel Nigeria, managing a substantial portfolio exceeding US$1 billion. Her contributions included supporting cost-saving initiatives that resulted in significant financial savings for the organization. Aralepo also served as the former Chief Financial Officer of Cellulant Nigeria, contributing to the company’s financial stability and growth.

Driven by her passion to support businesses, particularly SMEs, Aralepo founded the Africa Finance & Strategy Hub. This platform provides businesses with access to professional financial management skills and tools that assist them in understanding, managing, and scaling their operations.

Through her guidance, Aralepo helps companies establish sustainable financial structures for profitable growth and become investor-ready. She has trained over 5,000 business owners through various platforms such as She Leads Africa, Keystone Bank, Leap Africa, Wema Business School, FCMB SheVentures, and more. She also serves as a passionate and unassuming entrepreneurial role model, especially for young women.

She actively mentors aspiring professionals through organizations such as WIMBIZ, Tony Elumelu Foundation, and Techquest STEM Academy. Furthermore, she is the esteemed author of the book titled ‘How to Attract Billion Dollar Investors.’
