Akin Ogunbiyi revs up political awareness campaign with town storming

Leading gubernatorial candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi has kicked off his gubernatorial election awareness campaign in Osun State with innovative marketing strategy through town storming.

This is coming on the heels of plans by the national headquarters of the PDP to hold the primary election in the state 7th March, 2022.

Ogunbiyi who is also the Group Chairman of Mutual Benefits Assurance PLC, a Conglomerate of nine subsidiaries with over 5,000 employees, had earlier declared his interest in securing the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party for the coming election, stating that besides exercising a leadership that creates value, wealth creation, and equitable distribution, he is also more concerned with the task of easing the debt burden on the poor state. It should be recalled that Osun State currently has 200 Billion Naira in debt.

The election campaign themed ‘Assured Transformational Leadership’ which kicked off in Osogbo on Sunday 20th February saw the distribution of branded gift items by the Ogunbiyi team to the pleasure and welcoming arms of the good people of Osun State. The campaign will cover 30 major local governments across the state, and make its final stop in Isokan.

Akin Ogunbiyi has continuously impacted millions of lives through his unlimited philanthropic gestures and CSR initiatives sponsored by his companies to numerous individuals, families, and communities. His Foundation, the Akin Ogunbiyi Foundation, has supported over a hundred scholarship awards and sponsorship of students in secondary, tertiary, and professional education.
