AB InBev joins World’s Most Innovative Companies

Global brewer, AB InBev has been named by Fast Company as one of the 2023 World’s Most Innovative Companies in the Branding and Manufacturing categories.

Congratulating the AB InBev team for their dedication to creating a “future with more cheers”, Marcel Marcondes, global chief marketing officer at AB InBev said: “From building the brew houses of the future and delivering revolutionary packaging solutions, to reimagining how consumers experience our brands with the use of technology, our work in branding and manufacturing is something we continuously want to take to the next level.”

In 2022, AB InBev announced a newly aligned commercial leadership structure and an evolved strategy designed to accelerate the next phase of innovation and growth. The strategy was introduced to transform the business, lead and grow the beer category, digitize and monetize its ecosystem, and an optimized move to apply strong financial discipline and thoughtful resource allocation to drive superior value creation.

The newly integrated commercial structure was introduced to align sales, marketing, B2B and Direct-to-Consumer to accelerate growth.

The global brewer bagged the 2022 Grand Prix for Creative Effectiveness at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity for its US beer brand Michelob Ultra’s Contract for Change.

AB InBev was also honored as Creative Marketer of the Year at the final Awards Show of the Cannes Lions Festival on. The honorary accolade was presented to the brewer for amassing a body of Lion-winning work over a sustained period of time, and establishing a reputation for producing brave creative and innovative marketing solutions.

According to the Fast Company, brands recognized this year were honored for their demonstration of a common theme: “The differences that had long separated tech companies from the rest of the business world have all but disappeared.”
