Meet MARKETING EDGE 2020 Summit & Awards panelist – Biodun Adefila
Biodun Adefila is one of the amazons that are giving the marketing communications industry a totally new colouration. She is one of those that have signaled the arrival of women in an industry where men held sway, until recently. She is the Chief Operating Officer of SO&U, one of the leading marketing communications firms in Nigeria.
With a very rich pedigree that spans decades, during which period she honed her skills at some of the country’s leading advertising companies, Biodun brings her wealth of experience to bear on the formulation and implementation of strategies that enable her Group successfully execute its brand management initiatives for the achievement of its annual financial targets.
She has worked on several local and international brands across industries and complements this with experience gained leading the Marketing and Innovations team at Lornamead Group, manufacturers of personal and home care products.
She holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Liverpool, UK and a Certificate in Advanced Management from the prestigious Lagos Business School. A product of the Champions League Academy – Saatchi & Saatchi, UK and several other professional programmes, local and international.
Biodun is a member of the board of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN).
She is Vice Chairman of Women in Advertising, a committee within AAAN, which strives, among other objectives, to give women a voice in a rapidly evolving industry that is increasingly playing a greater role in the economic life of Nigeria.
