Brad Ross, Coca-Cola’s marketing chief to speak on Africa’s growth potential
Brad Ross Marketing and Customer & Commercial Leadership Director – West Africa Business Unit at The Coca-Cola Company has declared that no other continent offers the same growth potential as Africa.
He made the comment recently on his LinkedIn wall as a prelude to the ‘Speak for Africa 2019′ conference slated for 21- 23 August 2019 in Kigali, Rwanda.
Brad Ross, who is a passionate advocate for new investment in Africa, is one of the lead speakers at the event which is hosted by The Nerve Africa, and he will be offering insights on the growth potentials in Africa. His speech will centre on the theme of the conference which is “New narrative and frontiers for Africa’s global growth story”.
Giving a snip preview of the speech he is expected to deliver at the conference, Brad said that the African continent boast of huge growth potential such that is not obtainable in other regions. “She is a continent that boasts of tremendous mineral wealth, holds more than half of the world’s uncultivated arable land, has an abundance of untapped human.”
With the objective of addressing new narratives and frontiers for Africa’s global growth story, Speak for Africa is a festival of global African voices and ideas. Focused on reshaping the face of the continent, the interactive conversations will offer deep dives, case studies, global best practices and thought-provoking takeaways that will challenge existing thoughts about the continent’s broader narrative and business on the continent.
Brad’s expected involvement at the conference is already generating some exciting comments from stakeholders who look forward to getting new insights on Africa’s growth story. Chuka Asiegbunam, Country Manager – Bauer Construction Group noted that it would be nice for Brad to tell the Africa’s growth story particularly from the Lagos perspective.
Brad is also expected to share some of Coca-Cola growth story in Africa which has seen the soft drink giant invest $17 billion in the continent from 2010 to 2020, a figure that tripled the amount spent in the previous decade.
