The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has invested Pastor Umo Eno, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, as its patron and inducted new fellow members at the ongoing NIPRW 2025 and Annual General Meeting.

The ceremony, held at the prestigious Ceedapeg Hotel in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, was attended by distinguished guests, including Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals, Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, Director General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), and other prominent executives and practitioners in the public relations space.

Dr. Ike Neliaku, fnipr, President Chairman of the NIPR Council, highlighted Governor Eno’s tenacity and doggedness, noting that these qualities made him an ideal candidate for the role of patron.

Dr. Neliaku also mentioned that over 120 countries would be visiting Nigeria in 2026 for the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), and the governor’s state would be hosting a day-long visit from the international delegates, showcasing the beauty and hospitality of Akwa Ibom State.

The investment of Governor Eno as patron and the induction of new fellow members underscore the NIPR’s commitment to promoting excellence and professionalism in the public relations industry.

The event serves as a platform for industry leaders to come together, share ideas, and recognise outstanding contributions to the field.
