ADMARP appoints Martins as President
By Zion Rufus
Association of Digital Marketing Professionals in Nigeria (ADMARP) has announced marketing technology professional, Stanislaus Martins as its new president.
Martins, who takes over from the pioneer president Oti Ukubeyinje, will be tasked with advancing the Association’s 2-year roadmap to establish a sustainable member-led structure that will professionalize the practice of digital marketing in Nigeria while simultaneously engaging strategic stakeholders to contribute to policy formulation and regulatory activities in the digital marketing space according to Oluwatobi Adekunle, the Board of Trustees Chair.
Commenting on his new appointment, Martins shared: “I am humbled by this new responsibility because of the very large shoes Oti has left to be filled. ADMARP’s existence fills that vacuum for expert advisory and advocacy to regulators who may create policies that would hamper the growth of our profession. Building on the existing relationships with other professional bodies and the work the Association has started in professionalizing practice, our focus over the next 12 months will be to lead and support critical conversations that will shape the practice of Digital Marketing in Nigeria. We will continue to engage corporate organizations to onboard them as members and deliver various learning and knowledge-sharing initiatives for both new and prospective members.”
Stanislaus Martins is a seasoned Digital Marketing, Technology and Sales professional with over 17 years of experience working across multiple industries. He has a demonstrated track record of success leading high-performing teams in identifying and launching new revenue models, driving digital growth, and optimizing marketing performance for some of the biggest brands in the region.
With experience on both the agency and client side, Martins has a thorough understanding of industry dynamics. Martins has worked with leading local and global organizations including Insight Publicis, Jumia, and Meta (formerly Facebook), where he led engagement with the largest agencies, clients and Meta’s authorized sales partners across Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Messenger in West Africa. Martins is widely recognized for his innovative approach and expertise in driving change and progress. He will now lead the 7-person executive team that was appointed in 2022 to complete the 2-year roadmap.
