Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos Chapter, has donated a percentage of proceeds from the Lagos Public Relations Industry Gala and Awards (LaPRIGA) 2021 to the management of Puresouls Learning Foundation, Ikeja GRA, Lagos. The donation was in fulfilment of its promise.
The donation, which was made on behalf of the Chapter by the Chairman, Comfort Nwankwo, was geared towards the premier Chapter’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative tagged, ‘Extra Mile Project’, in support of people living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Commenting on the donation, Mrs. Nwankwo noted that the generous donation to the Foundation was made possible by the equally generous donations of members of the Chapter and corporate sponsors.
The Chairman of the Chapter, who accounts for nearly 60 percent of PR practitioners in Nigeria, promised that Lagos NIPR would intensify efforts at turning the spotlight on autism awareness.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Foundation, Dotun Akande, the Founder and Director, expressed profound appreciation to the Chapter for the constant support for the education of children with Autism.
Mrs. Akande noted that the donation would go a long way towards the expansion of the new school facility that would accommodate and help more children with special needs.
