Two Automobile Firms Join Forces to market Mitsubishi in Nigeria
In a strategic move to improve the market fortune of Mitsubishi brand in Nigeria, CFAO and Kelwaram Chanrai Group have formed an alliance by floating Massilia Motor Limited to market and service the Mitsubishi auto brand in the Nigerian market.
In the company’s shareholding order, 51% goes to CFAO, while 49% goes to Kelwaram.
Managing Director, Massilia, Mr Thomas Pelletier in his remark at the unveiling said the alliance is to reposition the brand for bigger market share in Nigeria.
According to him, the company will provide customers with Mitsubishi products such as passenger cars, SUVs, pick-ups, spare parts and after sales services across Nigeria.
“Now we have a company that will project the Mitsubishi brand and make it more acceptable to Nigerians. We have teamed up to compete for bigger market share for Mitsubishi which is one of the leading Japanese brand in Nigeria,” he said.
On what will make the company different from other competitors, Pelletier said, “The Massilia advantage is that we do not only sell cars, we consider our customers as stakeholders and provide solutions tailored to their needs. From counsel on the best product for each use, to establishing a maintenance plan, we follow the customer through the product lifecycle to ensure good value and a longer life span.”
As part of commitment to the new course for the brand, the company said it has launched a new Mitsubishi Motors website and a flagship showroom in Victoria Island, Lagos.
