“2023 was only the tip of a massive Artificial Intelligence iceberg,” Deola Art Alade

If you thought 2023 was the climax of the AI era, think again, and consider it the tip of a massive iceberg that’s about to reshape our technological landscape.

The infamous Artificial Intelligence ‘AI’ buzzword practically held us hostage in 2022 and then sauntered into 2023, adorned with the crown of “generative AI.” It felt like every company suddenly caught the AI fever, realizing it was the key to unlocking growth and refining business processes.

Generative AI took the stage, capturing the imagination of industries, and its omnipresence made it seem like it was here to stay.

Well, the truth is, we’ve barely scratched the surface.

From machines with predictive prowess, to voice-activated assistants like Siri and Alexa becoming our digital sidekicks, and AI that connects the dots without relying on predefined behavioral algorithms, the AI landscape evolved rapidly, and we are just getting started.

2022 was the prelude, introducing us to groundbreaking technologies and laying the foundation for the AI frenzy that dominated 2023. With the launch of ChatGPT in 2022 and its face-off with Google’s Bard in 2023, the tech space became an arena where the Big Techs battled it out, raising questions about the potential overthrow of the ‘almighty’ Google.

While the highs and lows of the AI landscape played out, 2023 marked a transformative year. Major tech players aimed to dominate the generative AI segment with their shiny new tools, giving us a front-row seat to launches, controversies, and unexpected scandals; and experts say we haven’t seen the full extent of AI’s impact yet.

Deola Art Alade, the innovative CEO of Livespot360, sees 2023 as merely the tip of a colossal AI iceberg.

According to her, AI’s real magic lies in refining processes, allowing creatives to focus on the heart of their stories while AI handles the nitty-gritty of data processing. It’s a game-changer, a story-enhancer, and the possibilities are boundless.

“I believe that we haven’t yet seen the extent to which AI will contribute to the entire entertainment and creative industry value chain. It is important to understand that what AI does is to refine processes. It offers creatives the opportunity to focus on the heart of stories that need to be told while handling the processing and collation of data that give flesh to the stories. What we’ve witnessed in 2023 is only the tip of a very massive iceberg,” she stated in an interview with MARKETING EDGE.

And we are seriously far from the grand finale of this tech spectacle.

As predictions of economic gloom linger, 2023 is only a precursor to the marvels AI has in store. The Livespot CEO also foresees 2024 as a year of accelerated AI adoption, shortening production timelines and unleashing a wave of content with previously unimaginable ideas.

She said “In 2024 we will experience a greater adoption of AI by more creators which will shorten the time taken to produce results. What this means is that we will see more content being produced and hopefully more content with ideas that were previously difficult to achieve.”

Echoing a similar viewpoint, Stanislaus Martins, President of ADMARP, also sees AI’s influence persisting and expanding in 2024.

What started as a cautious exploration in 2023 will blossom into a full-blown love affair with AI-based marketing.

“Just like in 2023, I think AI will still be huge. While lots of marketers sat on the sidelines in 2023, observing to see if this was yet another fad, I think 2024 will be even bigger for AI based on the impact it has begun to have on marketing and the massive strides being made in its development. AI changes everything – from strategy to execution. In the early days, we thought the “creatives” would be the least impacted/disrupted by AI, but we have been proven wrong in that regard as generative AI content development across text, audio, and visuals continues to blow our minds,” Martins said.

The future of AI and search is undeniably dynamic, and 2024 promises even more excitement. Whether it’s the continued dominance of generative AI, groundbreaking developments, or unforeseen disruptions, one thing is clear — AI is a force to be reckoned with.

As we peer into the future, one thing is certain: the field of AI and search is not just evolving; it’s becoming a captivating space to watch. The AI saga is far from its climax, and 2024 promises to unveil more surprises and disruptions. So, buckle up, tech enthusiasts, because the AI adventure is just beginning, and it’s bound to be one heck of a ride.
