Nigeria’s leading dairy company, FrieslandCampina WAMCO has awarded its media account to media agency Wavemaker, a part of GroupM, WPP’s global media investment management company.

Recall that Media Fuse Dentsu Aegis Network was the former handler of the multi-billion dollar media business. Some of the other agencies which have also previously worked on the dairy company’s media brief in Nigeria include Red Star Media, Algorithm, Initiative Media and Media Perspective.

FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC is Nigeria’s foremost dairy company and an affiliate of Royal FrieslandCampina in The Netherlands, one of the largest dairy groups in the world. FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria has various leading brands in their categories, including Peak Milk, Three Crowns and Peak Yoghurt.

Wavemaker, the second largest media agency network in the world which has now emerged as the fourth agency to manage the Friesland account since November 2018, was formed in 2017 from the merger of MEC and Maxus. The agency’s domestic and international clients include Vodafone, L’Oréal, IKEA, Paramount Pictures, Chanel, GE, Xerox, Colgate-Palmolive, Chevron, Beiersdorf, Tiffany, Huawei, and Mondelēz International.
