TVC Communications Marketing Chief hails MARKETING EDGE on award win
TVC Communications Commercial Director and Chief Revenue Officer, Ronan Redmond has expressed his gratitude to MARKETING EDGE for the honour bestowed upon him at the prestigious MARKETING EDGE Annual Awards for brands and advertising excellence held recently in Lagos.
Redmond, who was voted the Most Outstanding Media Personality of the year, stated in a message which reads in part: “I want to thank MARKETING EDGE for this award, and I accept on behalf of all my colleagues in the industry who worked so hard during this most challenging of years.”
MARKETING EDGE Awards is an annual award ceremony which celebrates high performing players and gladiators in the market and credibility of great brands and personalities in the IMC industry.
Speaking further, he said: “those of us in leadership positions in the Media & Entertainment sector have a duty to promote the benefits of our work and services can bring to all business sectors and I look forward to working just as hard in the months ahead to continue to grow our sector. I remain very optimistic about the potential for our business and look forward to more prosperous times in the business year ahead.”
An alumnus of the Dublin City University with a strong passion for contributing to the growth of the advertising sector, Redmond’s leadership and media experience spans years of professionalism which includes his position as Managing Director of Sky Media Ireland for seven years; he actively participated in the launch and set up of the company, recruited management team, developed product offer and successfully achieved 90% of advertisers within 12 months; growing the total revenues to over €100M. Redmond also worked for advertising and media agencies Ogilvy&Mather and Mindshare in London.
Established in 2007,The Television Continental Communications (TVC) is a privately owned multi-platform which operates the TVC News, Max FM Lagos & Abuja, and Adaba FM. Redmond who joined the establishment in 2017, has helped in transforming the commercial activities and fortunes of the company.
Although the company had a terrible share of the Lagos EndSars crisis as hoodlums attacked TVC Communications; burning it to the ground, with about 44 vehicles, outside broadcasting (OB) vans, production control rooms, Master Control Room (MCR) studio play-out machines and much more all lost to the incident; the company was back on air in no time, and better.
