The Guardian offers advertisers more possibilities as it unveils Brand Studio

Poised to sustain it leadership in the Nigerian newspaper industry, as well as reposition its operation in line with the fast evolving media market, The Guardian Nigeria has announced the launch of Guardian Brand Studio, an innovative multi-platform content marketing solution for advertisers.

This innovation is coming shortly after Guardian TV was launched, and it is part of an on-going effort to overhaul Guardians digital platforms, and recreate the brand by making it attractive to new audiences across all demography, especially the younger generation.

The re-engineering process is designed to transform Guardian, which is one of the oldest newspapers in Nigeria, from a mono-platform into an multi-platform outfit, offering a range of media solution across print, digital and event, thereby making it sustainable profitable.

Guardian Brand Studio consists of a team of writers, designers, videographers, developers and researchers that work with advertisers to create branded content to reach influential and well educated audiences in Nigeria, the diaspora and globally. The platform uses its journalistic and storytelling skills to work with brand marketing departments to create compelling content that will engage audiences on it platforms and beyond.

Toke Alex Ibru, the Executive Director, The Guardian Newspapers, stated, “The media industry is continually evolving and requires publishers to adapt to the ever changing needs of our audience and advertisers. The launch of Guardian Brand Studio continues to build on our vision to become the most progressive and innovative publisher across the region.”

The digital media agency charged with making Guardian’s digital aspiration a reality is Ventra Media. And the agency says it plans to harness the newspaper’s reputation and long history in the media profession into making this rebirth a remarkable reality.

Daryn Wober, CEO Ventra Media/Guardian Digital said, “The Guardian Brand Studio will allow our advertiser partners to create content and tell stories in partnership with a leading news brand. All the skills that The Guardian has built around multiplatform journalism and content creation can be harnessed for the benefit of their brands.”

Advertisers provide Guardian Brand Studio with a creative brief and the team deliver a content and distribution strategy before moving to production and syndication. Content is then made available across all of The Guardian’s platforms. Clients are also able to utilize content and assets across their own platforms to achieve maximum reach and impact. The studio has already worked with brands such as Zenith Bank, Jumia, Nairabet and United Capital.
