Telenovela channel, Eva+, launches on DStv, GOtv
MultiChoice Africa and AMC Networks International on Friday announced that it will launch telenovela channel, Eva+, in Africa, a sister channel to Eva that first aired on DStv in 2015.
Eva+ will begin airing on Tuesday, November 1 on all DStv packages on channels 142 and GOtv Plus on channel 13.
Similarly to Eva, Eva+ will offer high production value Latin American telenovelas fully dubbed in English and Portuguese languages, and will be the first channel in AMC Networks International – UK’s (AMCNI UK) regional portfolio to be available on MultiChoice’s DTT platform.
Vice President, Affiliate Sales for AMCNI UK, Louise Cottrell said: “We are delighted to expand our telenovela offerings and partner with MultiChoice in introducing Eva+ to the African market. Telenovelas are increasingly popular in the region, so it’s exciting that with Eva+ offered on GOtv in addition to DStv, we will now be able to reach brand new viewers with our top quality content.”

Eva will continue to broadcast on the DStv platform, and in addition to the Premium, Compact Plus and Compact packages on channel 141, it is now offered in the Family package, reaching further audiences. Two of the most successful series, ‘We are Family’ (Somos Familia) and ‘Fooled into Love’ (Amores con Trampa) from the Eva schedule are now available as 7-day catch up.
Eva+ is the home of the very best in contemporary telenovelas from Latin America, and around the world. The channel offers a potent mix of love, jealousy and betrayal in the shape of high quality serial dramas featuring the most established Latin stars – 24 hours a day.
