Publicis Groupe has announced the appointment of Geoff Calabrese as its new Chief Commercial Officer. Calabrese joins the company from Omnicom Media Group, where he spent 15 years, most recently serving as CEO, North America Investment.

During his tenure at Omnicom Media Group, Calabrese oversaw the investment and activation of over $20 billion across various media channels. He also led several business units, including Optimum Sports and Outdoor Media Group.

Calabrese’s appointment comes on the heels of Omnicom Media Group’s recent announcement that Katie Klein would succeed him as Chief Investment Officer for North America.

In his new role at Publicis Groupe, Calabrese will oversee client commercial engagements across new and existing partnerships. His responsibilities will include exploring new business models, agency compensation, performance incentives, and media value guarantees.

Calabrese is set to start in the spring and will report to Dave Penski, CEO Connected Media, and Lou Rossi, Chief Financial Officer, Connected Media.

The appointment follows Omnicom’s announcement in December that it would acquire rival holding company Interpublic Group. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2025.
