Promasidor Nigeria appoints Bruno Gruwez as new CEO

African beverage and food products powerhouse, Promasidor, has announced the appointment of Bruno Gruwez as its new Chief Executive Officer. A statement issued by the company said Gruwez’s appointment has taken effect on 1 January, 2021.

Gruwez, the new CEO succeeds Anders Einarsson, who will assume regional responsibilities within the Promasidor Group.

Bruno Gruwez joined Promasidor Nigeria from PepsiCo South Africa, where he worked for more than fourteen years as the Senior Director, Food Categories Sub-Saharan Africa. He was also the Senior Commercial Director for PepsiCo in South Africa, and worked as the Marketing Director for PepsiCo UK Beverage and GM for PLI Western Europe (Pepsi Lipton International). It has since grown with presence in several African countries.

He has been described as a strategic business leader with deep experience on how to drive growth, generate revenue, and ensure profitability. His numerous successes while on his previous jobs speak for him. He is also passionate about mentoring young professionals whilst inspiring them to excel.

Gruwez has the record of proven success in consumer and customer-focused businesses across developed (Europe) and developing (Africa) markets.

Gruwez, who is a Belgian national, studied Business Engineering at Amsterdam-based Vrije Universiteit. He has also obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Engineering from Universite Libre de Bruxelles.
