Omojafor, Babaeko, others lead AAAN Walk for Charity

Ahead of its 50th anniversary celebrations, the Association of Advertising Agencies in Nigeria (AAAN) has held its Walk for Charity today, with an impressive turnout of participants including excos, youths, and member agencies.
Themed “Walked the Talk for 50 years”, the charity initiative was led by AAAN President and CEO X3M Ideas Steve Babaeko, alongside past presidents of the AAAN Steve Omojafor and Kelechi Nwosu, and other executives of the Association.
While commenting on the Walk for Charity, Sir Steve Omojafor, chairman, Board of Trustees, AAAN emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and staying fit, especially in today’s world, where health challenges are prevalent.
The Walk kicked off from the AAAN Secretariat at Jobi Fele Way in Ikeja, down to Marwa Garden Estate, into CIPM Avenue, then Hakeem Balogun Street and back to the AAAN Secretariat with participants moving in unison, and the leaders setting the pace, providing members with an opportunity to network and forge new relationships.
After covering several kilometers, the walk ended at the Secretariat, and participants were treated to a refreshing breakfast courtesy of Pladis and 12 Baskets. Participants were also treated to a special aerobics session by i-Fitness Center, and free medical checkups by Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation.
Commenting on the success of the Walk for Charity, Kemi Fabusoro, AAAN Director and Executive secretary said: “ I feel very excited and elated about the turn out; we had almost 200 of our members in attendance. It was also great to have our Board of Trustees chairman, Sir Steve Omojafor walk with us. For our 50th anniversary we still have a lot in stock, our industry night, celebration of icons, the anniversary gala, a symposium, and the showcasing of brands making great impacts in the country.”
Kelechi Nwosu, CEO, TBWA Concept said: “This Walk is the start of a bigger program, to commemorate our 50th anniversary. The turnout was good, and for that we are very proud. We are also happy to be 50, it is a privilege, it is an honor for an association such as ours, to have grown from 10, to 20, up till 50; it is something we are indeed grateful and proud about.”
