NIPR set to host 2017 AGM by April

Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is set to host its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM)/Conference by April 26-28, 2017 at the Kwara Hotels, Ahmadu Bello Way, GRA, Ilorin, Kwara State.

The AGM themed: “Building Mutually Beneficial Relationships and Communicating Values to Eliminate Recession and Drive Sustainability” will enable PR practitioners deliberate on critical issues that affect the profession and chart a new direction.

Special Assistant to the President on Logistics & Protocol/Membership Services, Prince Abiodun Olatunbosun, said the AGM will begin with the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Program (MCPD) and induction of new members.

He noted that a new portal had been opened to facilitate the speedy registration of members for the conference across various chapters in the country.

He said: “The AGM Committee was constituted on March 1, and Chaired by Mr. Wale Adeniyi. There will be after conference interactions after the AGM. We will keep on updating you from time to time”

It would be recalled that most stakeholders in the Integrated Marketing Communication industry regard Public Relations as the last resort but some PR professionals have been pushing a strong position that Public Relations practitioners can actually lead in the integrated Marketing Communication industry through their creative abilities.
