Nigerian Breweries crown GUS 12 winners, award prizes up to N50million

Following three months of holding millions of viewers spellbound with an impressive visual performance, Nigeria’s ultimate reality TV show, Gulder Ultimate Search has awarded its Age of Craftsmanship winners grand prizes up to N50million at a grand coronation party which held at Cilantro Lagos on Friday 21 January, 2022.

Top celebrities, high profile celebrities and A-list artists present at the event includes CEO, HipTV, Ayo Animashaun; CEO Oracle Experience, Felix King; renowned OAPs, Olisa Adibua and Dotun; Ex BBNaija housemate, Elozonam; Popular Nigerian artist, Buju; and top Nigerian breweries executives such as Managing Director/CEO, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Hans Essaadi; Corporate staff affairs director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Sade Morgan; and Supply Chain Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Martin Kochl amongst others.

Odudu Ime Otu who showed profound resilience, beating 17 other contestants to emerge winner of a N20million grand prize, also bagged an all expense paid trip to Dubai as well as a brand new car. Runners up 26year old Adedamola Adewale Johnson, and 25year old Damilola Odedina were awarded N3million each.

Commenting on the success of the show, CEO/Managing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Hans Essaadi said: “There are three words that come to mind when I think about this edition of the Gulder Ultimate Search and they are Impressive, challenging, and entertaining from the moment we announced the stars of our auditions we were impressed by the massive turnout of young Nigerians.”

Themed “Age of Craftsmanship”, the show which kicked off 16th October, 2021 was hosted by Nigerian actress, model and TV Presenter, Toke Makinwa. The 18 contestants for the Gulder Ultimate Search 12 Age of Craftsmanship were: Damola Johnson, Mfon Mikel Esin, Iniabasi Umoren, Samson Onoja Abah, Gerald Odeka, Samuel Ishmael, Tobechukwu Okoye, Emmanuel Nnebe, Jennifer Okorie, Chidimma Okeibe, Omokhafe Bello, Esitima Edem, Godswill Oboh, Olayinka Omoya, Damilola Odedina, Solomon Yankari, Osasere Agbonile, and Odudu Otu.

Introduced in 2004 and sponsored by Nigerian Breweries Plc to promote the Gulder Lager Beer, the survivor-themed reality TV series camps contestants in a jungle where they will have to struggle to outwit each other in the harsh terrain as they go in search of an hidden artefact. The competition also requires high intellectual skill and intelligence as contestants will have to decode clues and use maps to identify and trace the location of the artefact. The competition ends and the winner will emerge when a contestant finds the historic item.
