Medview Airline apologises over flight delay, blames bad weather

Medview Airline has apologized to passengers on the Lagos-Ilorin-Abuja route over the delay of its flight operation, attributed the cause to bad weather at Ilorin Airport.

The airline expressed regrets over the incident and inconveniences experienced by the passengers on-board, which included eminent traditional rulers.

The airline’s Media Adviser, Mr. Obuke Oyibotha, said the operating aircraft had arrived the Ilorin airspace as scheduled but had to be diverted to Abuja due to adverse weather conditions and based on air traffic control advice.

Oyibotha said: “We continued to monitor the weather situation in Ilorin and it was only visible late in the day and the flight finally made it. Med-View Airline takes great measures to avoid conditions that will impact on safety of passengers and crew.”

According to him, it was unfortunate that the adverse weather occurred when highly reverend traditional rulers and other passengers were billed to fly to Abuja en route their various destinations.

“We sincerely regret this unfortunate incident and the inconveniences caused our esteemed passengers,” he pleaded.
