Medview Airline aborts flight over poor cooling system

Over 100 passengers of Medview Airline today escaped suffocation as Medview aircraft aborted its Lagos –Abuja – Yola flight due to the collapse of the aircraft cooling system at the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.

MARKETING EDGE gathered that the cooling system developed fault while the aircraft was taxing to take off.
The incident is coming barely 24 hours after another domestic airline; Air Peace airline with 105 passengers on board made an air return following a tyre burst.

It was further gathered that the passengers were disembarked and put in another aircraft to continue their journey.
Confirming the incident, the media consultant to Medview Airline, Oyibotha Obuke said the pilot took a precautionary measure, but if he had continued the journey, the cooling system would have stabilized.

Obuke explained that: “The incident happened around midday. The aircraft did not make an air return. The plane was taxing when the Captain in charge noticed that the cabin was hot.

“If the aircraft had taken off, the cooling system would have stabilized, but as a precautionary measure, the pilot taxied back to base.”

He stated that the airline team of engineers is examining the aircraft to ascertain what led to problem.
