McCann appoints Kobzev Global CCO

McCann Worldgroup has announced Anaka Kobzev as its global chief communications officer effective January 2023.
Bringing nearly two decades of creative and media agency experience, Kobzev, in her new capacity as Global CCO will now report directly to Global CEO, Daryl Lee.
Prior to her new appointment, Kobzev led PR and communications strategy for global advertising agency TBWA’s The Disruption® Company where she was tasked with steering reputation management and helping the agency’s clients create brand communications that are culturally relevant and newsworthy.
Kobzev also served as Communications Director on the west coast for Interpublic Group, working with McCann’s offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Detroit, while providing communications support for IPG’s west coast units.
She is co-chair of the 4A’s Agency Communications Committee, and she has served on the Public Relations Jury for The One Show and as a judge for the U.S. PR Week Awards. She was a key part of the team that won Gold for Best In-House Team at the 2015 Global PRWeek Awards.
