As activities for the 2021 edition of the MARKETING EDGE Annual Marketing Stakeholders’ Summit/ Awards earnestly gather strength, the organisers have unveiled several new award categories, while offering industry players fresh opportunities in the brand and marketing sphere.
This year’s 2-in-1 event which has the theme, “Rethinking The Blue Ocean Strategy In Uncertain Times” is slated for 26 and 27 August, 2021. While the Marketing Stakeholders Virtual Summit is scheduled for 26 August, the Awards Night will hold on 27 August respectively.
It is on record that every year, the awards categories, which are obviously the benchmark for industry stakeholder across Nigeria, get updated and amended to best reflect and honour the most active and effective works in every given year – and 2021 promises to be better.
According to the organisers, introducing new categories also means unveiling new opportunities for creative and innovative industry players. “We include these categories to create more space for the awardees to rank themselves against the greatest works in the world.”
Amongst these categories are Brand Ambassador of the Year/ Decade, Brand Influencer of the Year, Outstanding SME Supporting Bank of the Year, Outstanding e-Payment Company of the Year/ Decade, Corporate Leadership Award in Fintech, Women Leadership Award in Marketing/ Advertising, Outstanding Real Estate Company of the Year and Outstanding ICT Company of the Decade.
In an earlier post, Publisher/Chief Executive Officer of MARKETING EDGE Magazine, John Ajayi, who is also the award Convener, said that this year’s 2-in-1 event will be a great and far-enriching industry initiative with a ‘wow’ effect.
Specifically, Mr. Ajayi stated that the event, which promises to be the very first industry activity to create some positive excitement around the business of brand management and the management of brand business, will be superbly unique in content and execution in line with the brand DNA of the leading marketing and advertising-focused publication.
The awards ceremony, which celebrates excellence in Nigeria’s Integrated Marketing Communications industry, has always been the greatest convergence of industry eggheads and crème de la crème in the society and other key stakeholders.
