Colgate-Palmolive has appointed seasoned brand strategist Kabelo Manyelo as Marketing Manager, Colgate Total & Therapeutics for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), expanding her leadership responsibilities across one of the company’s flagship oral care portfolios.
Interestingly, the appointment which she shared on LinkedIn places her at the helm of the strategic growth of the Colgate Total and Therapeutics brands across diverse markets in Sub-Saharan Africa, where she will drive consumer-focused marketing initiatives, strengthen brand relevance and support business growth across the region.
Meanwhile, sescribing the new role as a significant milestone in her professional journey,she said the expanded mandate would see her lead the portfolio’s strategic growth across multiple markets and consumer segments while building brands that extend beyond product offerings to create meaningful impact in people’s everyday lives.

However, the promotion marks another important step in a career built on insight-driven marketing, innovation and consumer-centric brand development. Since joining Colgate-Palmolive in 2023 as Brand Manager for Protex, Manyelo has steadily progressed through the organisation, serving most recently as Marketing Manager, Colgate Total before assuming her new regional role.
Though, before joining Colgate-Palmolive, she spent more than six years at Nestlé, where she managed prominent brands including Klim, Milkybar, Quality Street, Smarties and seasonal KitKat campaigns.
So, during that time, she led integrated marketing programmes, launched new products, developed communication strategies and partnered with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable brand growth.

Earlier in her career, Manyelo also gained commercial experience at Reckitt, where she was exposed to marketing, sales, supply chain and commercial operations within the global consumer goods business.
Widely recognised for her consumer-first approach, Manyelo believes sustainable brand success is achieved by understanding consumer behaviour, embracing innovation and creating meaningful connections across every customer touchpoint. She is equally passionate about leadership development and empowering women to thrive in the marketing profession.
She holds both a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Marketing Management from the University of Pretoria and has completed several professional development programmes at Colgate-Palmolive, including the Marketing Academy Accelerator and the Total Digital Programme.
Her appointment underscores Colgate-Palmolive’s continued investment in experienced marketing leaders capable of driving innovation, strengthening brand equity and accelerating growth across the fast-evolving Sub-Saharan African market.
