Jovago partners MTN to Commence free internet services in Nigeria

In order to reduce data costs and boost e-commerce in Nigeria, Jovago – leading online hotel booking portal in Africa launched its free internet service with MTN, Africa’s leading cellular telecommunications company.

The move means it won’t charge users of its mobile network for the data they consume while using the Jovago app.

This partnership with  MTN, one of the biggest telecommunications player in Nigeria and Africa is quite the strategic partnership.

Now, all MTN users can have access to more than 8 000 hotels in Nigeria and 25 000 hotels in Africa without cost and book in one click,” he added.

The recent launch of the Jovago app on the Android platform was a positive step in the right direction and this next step with a key partner would boost value with the customer-base. A survey conducted by Jovago shows that more than 50 % of the booking are done through mobile devices.
