GBFoods has expanded its leadership bench with the appointment of Adedunmola Ezichi as Category Manager, a move that signals the company’s continued focus on consumer led innovation, portfolio expansion, and category development.
Effective June 1, 2026, Ezichi joins the food and consumer goods company with a mandate to accelerate growth across strategic product segments, sharpen brand competitiveness, and deepen consumer connections through insight driven marketing initiatives.
Her arrival brings to GBFoods a wealth of experience accumulated across some of Nigeria’s most recognised consumer, beauty, retail, and lifestyle businesses.
Over the years, she has built a reputation for translating market intelligence into commercial success, leading transformative campaigns, and unlocking new growth opportunities in highly competitive categories.
Before making the move to GBFoods, she played a central role in shaping the personal hygiene portfolio at PZ Cussons Nigeria, where she oversaw a collection of household brands spanning multiple consumer segments.
During that period, she championed strategic initiatives that strengthened brand visibility, enhanced market penetration, and delivered measurable commercial outcomes.
Notably, she spearheaded several growth focused programmes that helped improve category performance while simultaneously strengthening consumer loyalty.
By combining market insights with innovation and technology enabled marketing solutions, she consistently delivered campaigns that resonated with evolving consumer expectations.
Earlier in her career, Ezichi developed strong expertise in digital marketing and brand communications at Seven Up Bottling Company. There, she directed digital initiatives for major beverage brands, helping drive audience engagement, strengthen online visibility, and expand consumer interaction across digital platforms.
Beyond the corporate sector, her entrepreneurial journey further distinguishes her professional profile. As founder and chief executive of StyleMeAfrica Online Co, she gained first hand experience in business development, partnership building, brand creation, and commercial strategy, broadening her understanding of both consumer behaviour and business growth.
Her professional journey has also included leadership assignments at Beauty Hut Africa, First Bank, ALARA Lagos, Maju Fashion, and Western Lotto, experiences that have equipped her with cross sector expertise spanning operations, portfolio management, marketing strategy, and customer engagement.
Recognised for her commercial discipline and strategic thinking, Ezichi has consistently demonstrated an ability to identify emerging market opportunities, optimise brand performance, manage complex portfolios, and translate consumer insights into sustainable business results.
Academically, she holds a Foundation Degree in Business from Columbia International College, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Essex, and a Master’s degree in International Business from Coventry University.
With her blend of brand building expertise, digital capabilities, and business leadership experience, industry observers expect her appointment to further strengthen GBFoods’ ambition to drive innovation, enhance category leadership, and capture new opportunities in Nigeria’s evolving consumer goods market.
