First Bank Hits N800bn Savings Mark

First Bank of Nigeria Limited (FBN) have reached  N800 billion savings deposit mark, the biggest in the banking industry according to the Head, Consumer Banking Products, Mrs. Adebimpe Ihekuna.
To reward the faith of the customers in the financial brand, the over a century power house has committed more than N500 million to reward customers in 6 years through various promotions since 2008.
The sixth season FirstBank Savings Bonanza, just closed with Ihekuna promising that N200 million has been committed to redeeming the gesture in gifts and cash prizes.
Ihekuna said at the sidelines of the promo draw finals that held in Lagos that “The bank spent over N200 million to purchase the gifts items and the cash prizes that have been given out to customers. 1,452 customers have been rewarded in this season’s First Bank Savings bonanza.” The promo which kicked off in September 2014 had its grand finale Thursday. It saw six customers winning a brand new new car each, some other 60 customers went home with LCD 32 inches TV each, another 60 went home with home theatre each, and another 60 went home with N50, 000, each.
She noted that FBN was using the promos to deepen savings culture in Nigeria.
Commenting on the promo, Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications for First Bank, Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney reiterated FirstBank’s commitment to the customers’ needs and aspirations, enjoining them to continue to patronise the bank. She said the bank would continue to churn out innovative and tailored-fit products and services.
In order to ensure transparency and credibility of the draws, the process was managed by the National Lottery Regulatory Council, KPMG and others.
