Chineze Amanfo, a public relations expert has emphasized the crucial role of Public Relations in shaping brand image and driving business success.
Amanfo gave this insight while reflecting on her presentation on LinkedIn page at one of the breakout sessions of the inaugural edition of the Nigerian Public Relations Week 2024 (#NPRW2024) in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
While noting the essential role PR plays in shaping an organization’s brand image, she stated that the success or failure of a company largely depends on its brand image, which is a critical factor that can either boost sales to new heights or cause them to stagnate.
According to her, this brand image is formed through customer experiences and perceptions, with public relations wielding significant influence over these perceptions.
She said, “To effectively contribute to the bottom line, PR must start with clearly identified business goals. The PR team needs access to the necessary information to select meaningful metrics, ensuring their efforts align with the company’s objectives from the outset.
“As we celebrate World Public Relations Day (WPRD), it’s important to acknowledge the vital role PR professionals play in shaping narratives, driving conversations, and promoting transparency in today’s complex and interconnected world.
“Their creativity, expertise, and commitment to ethical communication are crucial in building strong, resilient relationships between organizations and their stakeholders.”
The PR and Media Strategist further used the opportunity to appreciate the hard work, innovation, and dedication of public relations professionals everywhere, stressing that their efforts amplify voices, tell stories that matter, and create meaningful connections that drive positive change in the society.
In her words, “To all PR professionals, your invaluable contributions to shaping perception, building trust, and fostering meaningful connections are instrumental in creating a more informed, engaged, and interconnected world. Thank you for your commitment and impact.”
