Aquafina hosts Elite Model Look on Independence Day
The Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria 2016 is set to hold its grand finale on October 1st at Oriental Hotel, Lagos to choose the winner who will represent Nigeria at the international level.
After days of rigorous casting during which over 1,000 young male and female contestants converged on Lagos from all over Nigeria on July 30th, a total of 60 contestants were pre-selected and their pictures, sent to Paris for the final selection.
Now down to 20 contestants, the winner of the competition will stands a chance of winning $150,000 at Elite Model Look International world finals which would have over 80 countries represented.
In addition, there is also a chance to win a modeling contract with Elite Model Management worldwide as well as a two-year modeling contract with Beth Model Management Africa.
The annual event is a gateway to the glamorous world of international modeling for the winners as they will represent Nigeria alongside 80 other countries and stand a chance of winning $150,000 USD at Elite Model Look International world finals.
Previous winners from Nigeria such as Mayowa Nicholas and Victor Ndigwe have made their mark on the global fashion scene with them modeling for top fashion labels and agencies around the world.
Other international models such as Cindy Crawford (USA), Tatjana Patitz (Germany), Stephanie Seymour (USA), etc are all products of the Elite Model Look.
The contestants will model outfits from several international and local fashion houses during this year’s finale in tune to performances from Omawumi and other top Nigerian artistes.
Head of Marketing, Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc, (SBC) makers of Aquafina premium table water, Mr. Norden Thurston, said that the company cherished their partnership with the modeling agency. Explaining the synergy between Aquafina Table Water and the modeling agency, Thurston said that the water is purity guaranteed which encourages a healthy lifestyle critical for a positive self-image needed to make it on the global modeling stage.
Elite Model Look is a yearly fashion modeling event held by Elite Model Management, an international model management group. It is used to discover and launch female fashion models in the international fashion marketplace. Each year the contest attracts some 350,000 participants from roughly 70 countries in the world, with castings held in over 800 cities.
