Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited is set to launch the 11th edition of Nigerian Banking Sector Report on Wednesday, September 21 at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos and with the title ‘Searching for Investor Confidence’.

The report analyses the global and domestic economic and socio-political developments that have shaped economic performance, particularly relating to volatilities emanating from lower oil prices, Brexit and slowing growth concerns in the global economy.

Speaking about the launch, the firm’s Managing Director, Ike Chioke said: “The 2016 Banking Sector Report chronicles developments within the global and domestic economy in relation to monetary and fiscal policy responses to shocks while also contextualising the impact of policy decisions on domestic macro-economic variables.”

“Afrinvest Research is of the view that although some appropriate steps have been taken in recent months, the market is yet to respond positively, evidencing the lack of investors’ confidence without which neither the market nor the economy can be rebooted,” he said
