Vanguard’s top digital staff quits for Daily Trust
Barely two months after Vanguard lost its online Editor John Abayomi, to Punch Newspapers, another top staff in its digital department Abiodun Alade has been snapped up by Daily Trust Newspapers.
Alade has new resumed as the new Online Editor of the Abuja based newspaper and he is expected to lead the charge in the media outfit’s quest to boost it online presence and drive traffic to its website.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Alade is a Social media strategist, creative content developer, Media commentator/blogger and author.
He holds a first degree in Journalism from the Lagos State University School of Communication and Masters degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos.
Before joining Vanguard, Abiodun worked with National Mirror and The Nation Newspapers.
Abiodun is the second staff of the top rated Vanguard Online website to be hired by another national daily.
Vanguard is Nigeria’s leading newspaper website, followed by The Punch based on the rating by alexa.com .
