Nestlé partners Ashoka on sustainability, calls for entries
In order to make sure that 100% of its packaging is recyclable or reusable by 2025, Nestlé, multinational consumable maker, has partnered with Ashoka, leading social entrepreneurship network, to call for submissions on sustainability.
Making the announcement via its official twitter handle, the company stated: “Together with Ashoka, we’re looking for disruptive sustainable packaging solutions! Join us in working toward a waste-free future and share your innovative solutions before Dec 30.”
For the one application per initiative contest, entrants should not be less than 18 years of age, speak English Language fluently, as entries will only be accepted in English and must be incorporated as a nonprofit, for-profit, or hybrid organization, or have a fiscal sponsor.
As entry closes on December 30, 2020, review round 1 will last for 21 days starting from January 4, 2021, followed swiftly by refinement questions, which will be from January 26, 2021 to February9, 2021.
The second review round will be from February 10, 2021 to March 1, 2021, the finalists announcement and winners announcement will be in April and May respectively. The webinar, workshops, mentoring and support will be from March 2021 to June 2021.
“Receive cash prize up to CHF 250 000 to be allocated to the 5 specially commended and the overall winner (based on the ranking and project sizes), mentoring from Nestlé employees and gain visibility through Ashoka and Nestlé’s media and social media activities,” the statement said.
It further explained: “Finalists (up to 10) will gain access to workshops to explore the potential of collaboration with Nestlé and its employees and a virtual workshop on co-creation and system change with key Nestlé employees and Ashoka. One Ashoka Europe Fellowship module (system change, new leadership, hybrid social finance, replication and transfer, OR well-being).”
