As the festive season approaches, Coca Cola is bringing back one of its seasonal favourites.
This comes while preparing a broader wave of flavour launches and beverage innovations for consumers in the United States and Canada.
The beverage giant has confirmed the return of Coca Cola Holiday Creamy Vanilla.
However , this following its debut last year as the brand’s first holiday flavour in five years.
This year, consumers can once again choose between the regular and zero sugar versions, with the limited seasonal offering combining the familiar Coca Cola taste with a smooth vanilla profile.
From October 12, the drink will roll out through most major retailers across the United States and Canada, while consumers can also purchase it online through Coca Cola’s website.
The seasonal drink will come in 12 packs containing 12 ounce cans, alongside individual 20 ounce bottles.
Meanwhile, Coca Cola is also bringing back Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry for the festive period.
However, the company has yet to disclose when the returning Sprite flavour will reach stores.
Beyond the holiday season, Coca Cola is already preparing a substantial product innovation programme for 2027 as it continues to expand its portfolio across multiple beverage categories.
The company, which sells almost two billion drinks daily across more than 200 countries, has disclosed a series of new flavours and product developments planned for next year.
Among the headline launches are two new variations of its flagship Coca Cola beverage, alongside fresh offerings from Powerade, Mr. Pibb and Topo Chico.
Furthermore, Coca Cola plans to conduct regional trials of prebiotic versions of Coca Cola Zero Sugar, Sprite Zero Sugar and Fresca, signalling a broader push into beverages that combine familiar brands with added functionality.
Shakir Moin, president of marketing, North America, at The Coca Cola Company, said changing consumer expectations continue to influence the company’s approach to beverage development.
According to Moin, consumers increasingly seek new tastes, experiences and functional benefits, while Coca Cola’s extensive portfolio gives the company room to respond to those evolving preferences and provide more choices for different consumption occasions.
Leading the 2027 Coca Cola flavour rollout will be Coca Cola Cherry Lime, scheduled to arrive in February.
The new drink will combine the brand’s established cherry taste with a sharper lime accent, creating a different flavour profile for both regular and zero sugar consumers.
Then, during summer 2027, Coca Cola will introduce Coca Cola Strawberry Float. The new variant will combine the traditional Coca Cola taste with strawberry and creamy vanilla notes.
Both new Coca Cola flavours will be offered in full sugar and zero sugar formats, giving consumers the option to select their preferred formulation.
At the same time, the company will test prebiotic versions of Coca Cola Zero Sugar, Sprite Zero Sugar and Fresca in selected markets.
Each of the three trial beverages will contain six grams of prebiotic fibre while carrying no sugar, as Coca Cola explores new ways to respond to growing interest in functional beverages.
The company will also expand its Powerade range in January 2027 with Watermelon and Lemon Lime Zero Sugar variants.
Mr. Pibb, meanwhile, will introduce a limited edition flavour in spring 2027 under the name Mr. Pibb Black Currant. Coca Cola describes the drink as a berry led combination featuring blackberry and black currant notes, alongside 54 milligrams of caffeine.
Coca Cola’s innovation push will also extend to its Core Power protein shake range.
In January 2027, Core Power will introduce Banana in both its 26 gram and 42 gram protein formats, marking the brand’s first new flavour innovation in nearly a decade.
Additionally, Strawberry will join the 26 gram protein range, further expanding the choices available to consumers.
Altogether, the launches underline Coca Cola’s broader strategy of using flavour innovation, seasonal offerings and functional beverage development to keep its portfolio relevant as consumer preferences continue to shift.
