Oluwatobi Shitta has been appointed Head of Marketing at Panterra, the real estate company, in a move that signals the brand’s intent to deepen its market positioning and expand its footprint across Africa’s growing property sector.
In her new role, Oluwatobi will lead Panterra’s marketing and brand strategy, drive brand growth and market positioning, and work to establish the company as a thought leader in African real estate; building meaningful connections with clients, investors, and stakeholders in the process.
Shitta brings over a decade of experience spanning public relations, corporate communications, sales, and marketing to the role. Before joining Panterra, she served as Marketing Director at CraigXplore Media, where she gave clients access to media platforms across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and Kenya; negotiating bulk media buys, developing comprehensive public relations strategies, and collaborating with content teams to drive reach and engagement for international clients.
Her career also includes a tenure at Big Cabal Media as Sales Manger, and nearly four years at Nairametrics; Nigeria’s leading financial and investment media platform, where she rose from Sales and Marketing Executive to Deputy Manger of Sales and Marketing. At Nairametrics, she hosted and facilitated the Nairametrics Business Half Hour Show, secured sponsorships for the platform’s quarterly webinars, and led in-house campaigns that supported the company’s financial objectives.
Earlier in her careers, Oluwatobi held a brand management and public relations consulting role at m778 Nigeria, where she developed consumer insights tracking systems, managed media placements across events and exhibitions, and refined brand messaging for consistency across client portfolios.
She holds a Master of Business Administration from Nexford University and a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan. She is also a certified member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
Her appointment at Panterra reflects a broader trend in Nigeria’s real estate sector; one where brand strategy, stakeholder communications, and thought leadership are increasingly recognised as essential drivers of commercial growth alongside product development and sales.
