AI continues to transform integrated marketing, and B2B buyers are responding by becoming more selective and cautious. In a marketplace that grows more complex each day, simplicity has become a powerful differentiator. Yet trust remains the currency that anchors relationships and drives decisions.

According to Dentsu’s 2025 Superpowers Index, speed, clarity, and credibility now serve as the strongest drivers of growth in a B2B environment reshaped by trust, simplicity, and technology. The research shows that B2B brands must act fast, communicate simply, and earn trust consistently to stay competitive.

The report reveals a major shift. Buyers remain cautious due to economic uncertainty, yet AI is rapidly speeding up and simplifying the buying experience. Trust still determines who wins business, but the way brands build that trust is changing. Word of mouth, influencer voices, and strong brand reputations now play a bigger role than ever.

The study identifies three forces reshaping B2B buying in 2025. Personal factors such as trust and values are gaining almost as much influence as traditional professional criteria. Marketers are investing more in brand-building to strengthen reputation and advocacy. The most successful brands are those that streamline and accelerate the buying journey through AI support combined with human expertise.

The Superpowers Index acts as a strategic guide for businesses navigating change and seeking new growth opportunities. With insights drawn from 16,000 buyers and 35,000 documented experiences, the research shows a clear shift away from purely rational decision-making. Personal and societal considerations now drive 42 percent of purchasing choices.

Despite this shift, a gap remains. Many marketers believe they communicate strong brand positions, but buyers report that their actual experiences do not always align with those claims.

Rob Gold, Dentsu B2B Global President, stressed that the future of B2B marketing will be driven less by channels and more by trust, experience, and agility. “In today’s B2B landscape, trust, speed, and simplicity unlock the door to growth,” he said. He added that brands that blend digital innovation with genuine human connection will set the fastest and most competitive pace.

The brands that will stay ahead are those that meet buyers where they are, speak with clarity, and streamline every stage of the purchasing journey.
