MARKETING EDGE ONTV hosts Marvin Arimi this Wednesday

This Wednesday, April 23, 2025, MARKETING EDGE ONTV will host Marvin Martins Arimi, General Manager of MAX FM and Yanga FM, in the first episode of its exclusive Industry Conversation series
The interview will air on TVC News (DSTV Channel 418) at 12:30 pm and on on WAP TV (DSTV Channel 262) at 8:00 pm, with a repeat broadcast on Thursday at 9:30 am.
A seasoned radio executive with over 14 years of experience across broadcasting, advertising, and content development, Marvin currently oversees the strategic direction and operations of MAX FM and the recently launched Yanga FM, a platform designed to redefine radio entertainment with a culturally bold and creative twist.
According to him, “Yanga is a new idea to make pidgin cool. Everybody comes in and follows a particular pattern but ours is different with a twist. Before now, the upper class frowned at their kids speaking pidgin but now they want their children to speak pidgin because pidgin is cool.”
In this episode, Marvin will speak on the evolving role of radio in the digital era and how stations like Yanga FM are leveraging innovation to remain relevant in a competitive media landscape. He will also share insights on how newcomers can penetrate Nigeria’s fragmented radio market.
