Stakeholders laud ADVAN at 2021 awards

Stakeholders in the Integrated Marketing Communications industry have lauded the Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria’s (ADVAN’s) 2021 marketing excellence awards, and for the recognition and honour bestowed on brands with outstanding performance in marketing initiatives.
The stakeholders, who were beautifully arrayed in colourfully attires to match the spirit of the celebration, commended the advertiser’s body for the industry’s indelible impact, which is evident in the critical evaluation of marketing activities and acknowledgment excellent performance.
Speaking during the ADVAN awards event held at Muson Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Steve Babaeko, said: “For ADVAN, the quality has been pretty consistent over the years. We can’t expect anything less than excellence.”
On his part, the President of Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN), Femi Adelusi, extolled the annual awards for its recognition of the sterling performance of brand owners, affirming that it is a boost to all the winners in different categories.
In his words: “Every year at ADVAN event, ADVAN awards has come to be one of the leading and reputable awards in the marketing communications industry because of the rigour, discipline and the fact that a lot of research is done before arriving at this.
While restating that the marketing awards will encourage more productivity and creativity, past President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Tony Agenmonmen, said it is vital to celebrate brands that have continued to stay at the forefront of marketing and consumer-oriented initiatives.
In his words: “I am particularly excited that for those who have worked hard in terms of pushing their brands, all the great works they have done, I think it is always good that at the end of the year, we recognize performance and achievements.”
Describing the event as a catalyst to high-value consumer-oriented initiatives, General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Coscharis Group, Abiona Babarinde, said that the event that celebrates iconic brands will reinforce the desire to intensify marketing efforts at delivering the best value to consumers.
He said: “As usual, it is a wow event to celebrate iconic brands. Brands that make Nigeria and the Nigerian market, brands that celebrate their consumers, brands that deliver value and brands that reward customers deserve awards.”
The 2021 edition of the ADVAN award witnessed the emergence of winners in different categories such as Brand of the year, Peoples Brand of the Year, Marketing Professional of the Year, Innovation, Campaign of the year, Digital & Social Media Marketing, Legacy Brand, Indigenous Brand of the Year, Consumer Promotions, CSR, Experiential Campaign of the Year, New Brand/ Brand Extension/ Revitalization, Brand Manager of the Year, Future Leader of Marketing and Brand Journalist of the Year among others.
