PRovoke Media and PR Council launch North American summit partnership
By Oluwaseyi Lawal
PRovoke Media and the PR Council (PRC) have forged a groundbreaking partnership aimed at revolutionizing the significance and efficacy of public relations. This collaboration will center on the forthcoming North American Summit on May 1st, entitled “Proving and Improving the Value of Public Relations.”
The objective of this summit is to elevate the comprehension and recognition of PR’s genuine worth within today’s intricate landscape of reputational management. A key element of this collaboration involves conducting a comprehensive North American survey, led by AMEC, the world’s largest organization for media intelligence and insights professionals. This survey seeks to investigate attitudes towards the effectiveness of PR practices, with the aim of bridging the gap between agency and in-house perceptions.
The survey’s findings will inform the agenda of the Summit, shaping the content of various sessions and driving editorial coverage. Key discussion areas will include critical topics such as the value perceived by C-suite executives, the effectiveness of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives, talent and skills development, the integration of technology and AI, the influence of creativity driven by earned media, ROI amidst geopolitical instability, metrics for employee advocacy, the business implications of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and the measurement of meaningful outcomes.
The PRC, representing 150 of the most prominent global, mid-size, regional, and specialty PR firms in the US and Canada, will act as the title sponsor for PRovoke Media’s 2024 North American Summit. This summit is scheduled to take place on May 1st at the Whitby Hotel in New York, preceding the 2024 North American SABRE Awards at Cipriani 42nd St.
“This collaboration is designed to spotlight the PR Council’s commitment to tackling the critical challenge of effectively demonstrating PR’s value,” said PR Council president Kim Sample.
“We aim to challenge and inspire PR professionals to rethink strategies for demonstrating value in an increasingly complex and competitive landscape.”
“This partnership not only emphasizes the critical role of public relations in today’s business environment but also offers a crucial platform for discussing, showcasing, and advancing the PR industry’s capabilities and impact,” added PRovoke Media CEO and editor-in-chief Arun Sudhaman.
“I would urge all PR professionals to participate in the survey and Summit, to ensure we can all identify and address the most pressing challenges relating to investment, value and impact.”
