Polo secures sole distribution of Omega Wristwatches in Nigeria
Luxury goods company, Polo Limited, has emerged the sole distributor of Omega wristwatches in Nigeria.
The firm is also sole distributor of Rolex wristwatches in the country.
While disclosing the Omega distributorship deal in Lagos recently, the Chief Executive Officer, Polo Limited, John Obayuwana, said the firm would open the first Omega store in Africa.
He said apart from retailing the product, his firm would also provide after sales service to clients.
Obayuwana said the brand was targeted towards collectors of wristwatches, corporate consumers and Nigerians in general that he described as astute and always seeking for fresh items.
“Omega will suit that watch collector who is not just satisfied with his Rolex but seeks to have the newest item in the market. That’s why the great brands keep coming up with new models because people have appetite for new things,” he said.
The Executive Director, Polo Limited, Jennifer Obayuwana, said the brand had extended its warranty to five years, adding, “Where there is a defect, we will take the product in and fix it free of charge during the five- year warranty period.”
Polo said the 170 year-old Omega wristwatch that had been on the moon was among the top five selling wristwatch brands in the world, was water resistant, had consistently sponsored the Olympic Games and was the only timekeeper at the games, would be featuring in the latest edition of the James Bond movie franchise.
