Omojafor, Adetu, Ufot, others speaks at IAA leadership conference in Accra
In a bid to advance the cause of advertising especially in the sprouting African economy, the International Advertising Agency (IAA), the global body for advertising agencies are holding a conference with discussions set on how to maximise the opportunities available on the continent.
The IAA Leadership Conference holding in Accra, the capital city of Ghana from the 27th to the 28th of April, 2015. The conference theme is “Africa Rising: The New Consumers Generation.”
Eminent Nigerian advertising professionals are expected to join their counterparts from across Africa and the world over to discuss the ample needs of a growing middle class and indeed a new epoch of African consumers in a tech-savvy 21st century and proffering solutions as to how they can be well attended to.
Leading the pack of Nigerians speaking at the event is Udeme Ufot, the Chairman of Advertising Practitioners of Nigeria (APCON). Also to speak at the event is Sir Steve Omojafor, Group Chairman, STB-McCann, Seni Adetu of Diageo, Charles Chijide, President, Outdoor Advertising Agency of Nigeria (OAAN), and Lolu Akinwunmi Group CEO, Prima Garnet Africa and the immediate past Chairman APCON.
Other professionals from across the African continent and global advertising practitioners expected to speak at the conference include Faris Abouhamad, Founder & Managing Director, Interone Resonance Middle East, Prof. Tim Acquah-Hayford , CEO, TBWA\Markcom, Dawn Rowlands CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network SSA, Emmaunel Adoafi Addo, AdMedia FCB Ghana , Fatima Ali Mohamed, Wilmar Africa CEO, Alhassan Audani, Stanbic Bank Ghana, and Kenneth Ashigbey, Graphic Communications Group Ltd.
Samuel Ashetey Adjei, Ecobank Ghana, Brett Bivane, International Alliance for Responsible Drinking, Yaus Boateng, McKnisey & Co., Julian Bouldeing, The Network One and Jeffery Cole, Centre for Digital Picture make up the facilitators expected to share with the participants their wealth of experience and bring forward proposals that will better the lot of African advertising
