Noah's Ark shows class at Cristal with 5 awards
Fresh from its outstanding performance at the recently held Loeries Creative week in Durban South Africa, Noah’s Ark has again proved its creative prowess at the just concluded annual African Cristal Festival by winning a total of five medals- two Cristals (gold), and three emeralds (bronze).
The African Cristal Festival brings together the entire media and communication industry in Africa to network and promote regional culture through conferences, debates and of course competition. It is held yearly In Marrakesh, Morocco.
Another Nigerian agency that recieved recognition at the Cristals is Steve Babaeko’s X3M Ideas which won a bronze medal in the media category under the ‘Best use of social Media” sub-category.
Lanre Adisa’s Noah’s Ark won won an emeralds for Three Crowns Milk (Freisland Campina), another emerald for (Press and OOH) with a campaign titled Pillar of Support, a culturally rich piece stressing the importance of the mother in the family.
It was awarded a gold medal in the integrated category for Project Shoes, a campaign for a non-profit, The Young Bookworms (Boko Halal), which was aimed at re-igniting national discourse on the 276 kidnapped girls. An issue that seemed to be losing public momentum. It was executed in print, film, digital, as well as OOH:
The second gold medal came in the Promo and Direct Category for an activation titled Hijacking Bills. This was also done for Boko Halal, which was a guerrilla marketing campaign targeted at sending a message to the political elite and the electorate:
The fifth award, another emerald, came in the Press category, also for the Project shoes campaign, with a print ad titled @MuhammaduBuhari:
The honours is indeed a comfirmation of the rising profile of Noah’s Ark as a force to be reckoned with in the African creative industry. The agency which has become a dominane force in Nigeria last year won the only Grand Prix at the annual AAAN LAIF.
“It is our aim to speak for West Africa when it comes to communication and with your cooperation, guidance and support, we can do just that,” the agency said shortly after its triumph.
As soon as the awards were done, CEO of Noah’s Ark Lanre Adisa tweeted this, “2 Golds. 3 Bronzes. For Noah’s Ark. For Nigeria. #AfricanCristal #Repost.”
