Renowned marketing professional, Fridel Makun has been appointed by Mdundo, a leading music service offering affordable and easy access to music across Africa, to spearhead strategic growth initiatives in vital African markets.

In this pivotal role as Head of B2B & Sales Marketing for Africa, he is poised to contribute his strategic insights, expertise, and leadership to drive Mdundo’s growth trajectory while fostering stronger relationships with clients and partners across the continent.

With over 14 years of multifaceted marketing and communication experience, Fridel Makun has worked with top multinational corporations including Ford Motor Company, Nestle, Pernod Ricard, British Council, SPAR, Startimes, and notable agencies such as Ogilvy.

His contribution has also been pivotal in elevating various African brands, such as The Upbeat Centre, Union Bank, Sparkle MFB, Montaigne Place, Jumia, CyberSafe Foundation, Losode, and Farmfresh.

A thorough and analytical problem solver, Makun’s approach to marketing is underpinned by his ability to adapt to dynamic environments and challenging scenarios. His leadership skills have been evident in his roles as Head of Marketing at Upbeat Centre and Head of Digital and Online Strategy at Montaigne Place, where he developed and executed strategic campaigns while ensuring brand alignment and engagement.
