FMCG industry to experience significant growth by 2025
By Seun Johnson
The Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector is expected to witness a remarkable growth in 2025, driven by innovation, increased consumer demand and expanded market reach.
This projection was disclosed recently by Ms. Boma Harrison, Head of Marketing, Rites Foods Limited, during an interaction with a team of journalists from MARKETING EGDE Publication.
According to her, next year promises to be a volatile year as well. The jury is out, but it seems there might be a better increase in GDP.
She said, “We might have better overall cash flow. And if this trickles down to consumers, it means that they will have a better disposable income. So we do expect some slight growths from the industry. But more or less, give or take, it will mirror 2024, just given all the external macroeconomics factors.”
Also speaking on the role of technologies in shaping the growth of the industry, Ms Harrison explained how digital transformation, e-commerce platforms and data-driven marketing strategies will enable companies to connect with consumers more effectively.
She predicted that, as technology becomes more integrated into the operations within the sector, brands that adapt quickly and remain agile will lead the charge in capturing emerging opportunities.
