Elvis Ogiemwanye has been appointed as Vice President, Marketing, Opay-Nigeria.
The quintessential corporate egghead, who specializes in Brand Experience, Media Relations, Marketing Communications, Corporate Strategy & Brand Development, has over a decade of multi-functional experience in core marketing, Telecoms marketing, high level strategic marketing, marketing communications, sponsorship, brand management, corporate strategy, media and corporate event management. He grew Etisalat’s (now 9Mobile Nigeria) Youth Segment product from a zero-subscriber base to over 6M subscriber base within a 5-year period.
Before his engagement with 9mobile, Elvis was the Advertising Development Manager, MTN Nigeria. He managed a lot of projects which included the MTN media. He also launched and managed some several frontier services and activation among which are: Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Project Fame, Moving You Ahead theme campaign, Life is Beautiful campaign series, Go campaign, Everywhere You Go campaign. AFCON Campaign and activation. Also directly managed MTN Xtra cool along its key Value Proposition pillars (Price, Product and Services, lifestyle and Rewards and recognition).
A brand experience enthusiast with deep passion for building interactive and functional relationships between users and brands via digital and traditional means, Elvis has built user-focused designs to establish good relationships between brands and users to meet up and most times supersede standards and expectations. He has also engineered various product launches and brought the brilliance of big-label marketing to big brands.
Elvis won MARKETING EDGE’s 2021 OUTSTANDING MARKETING PERSONALITY OF THE DECADE.
He has several professional certifications from leading institutions such as Columbia Business School, Columbia University, Cranfield University, Nigeria Institute of Marketing and Chartered Institute of Marketing London, and his goal is to help brands have more visibility than ever into national and international markets.
