Cormart commissions state-of-the-art chemical blending plant in Ogun

Cormart Nigeria Limited, a leading chemical and food raw materials companies has officially commissioned its ultramodern Chemical Blending Plant in Ogun State.
In a statement recently posted on the company’s LinkedIn page, the factory is said to mark a major step forward in the Nigerian chemical manufacturing industry.
According to the post, the cutting-edge facility is aimed to revolutionise the local production of oil and gas chemicals, biocides, and industrial solutions which will significantly reduce import dependence and strengthen Nigeria’s leadership in the industry.
The commissioning ceremony led by Felix Omatsola Ogbe, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), also witnessed the presence of key industry stakeholders, regulators and top players from TGI Group.
Some of the notable guests at the ceremony include Dr. Remi Oni & Jerome Shogbon, Group Executive Directors, TGI Group, Engr. Halilu Abdulmalik, Director, Monitoring and Evaluation, NCDMB, Emily Adaeze Assistant Director, NUPRC, and Devadas Karayi, Managing Director, Romson Oil Field Services.
While addressing the gathering, Engr. Ogbe reinterated the critical role of local content development in driving Nigeria’s industrial self-sufficiency. He commended Cormart’s investment in advanced manufacturing capacities, which align with the Nigerian government’s vision for industrialization and economic diversification.
The company through the statement reaffirmed its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence, noting that the new facility will not only enhance production efficiency but also create new opportunities for local industries.
It also explained that the initiative will strengthen Nigeria’s position in the global chemical manufacturing sector while contributing to the nation’s long-term economic resilience.
Since its inception in 1980, Cormart Nigeria Limited has been in the forefront of production, importation, stocking and distribution of chemicals and other raw materials.
