Consistency beats copying in achieving success – Adesanya

Peter Adesanya, Digital Strategy Lead, The RedWolf Company, said the digital landscape has witnessed a significant shift, with content replication becoming increasingly prevalent. According to him, the explosive growth of platforms like TikTok has created an environment where creators are eagerly replicating the success of others.
He added that the TikTok algorithm has catapulted creators to fame, but behind each viral sensation lies a dedicated individual honing their craft, engaging their audience, and staying true to their unique voice.
In his words: “In the age of increasing internet penetration, replication has become a cornerstone of content creation. From viral memes to industry best practices, the allure of replicating success is undeniable. Consider the meteoric rise in the digital preference for TikTok’s snackable videos.
“Its algorithm, a masterful blend of AI and human curation, has propelled countless creators to stardom. But behind every viral dance trend or catchy song is a dedicated individual, pouring hours into honing their craft, engaging with their audience, and staying true to their unique voice.”
The strategist said replication requires more than copying, demands consistency, dedication, and a willingness to adapt and refine. True success, he noted, lies in emulating the unwavering commitment and relentless pursuit of excellence that drives results.
Sighting an example of how the algorithm works for digital platforms like Meta, he said: “A typical case in point, Meta, formerly Facebook, their platform’s success isn’t solely attributed to a brilliant algorithm. It’s the result of years of meticulous engineering, relentless innovation, and a commitment to user experience. Meta’s ability to adapt and evolve, to learn from its mistakes and seizing new opportunities, whilst taking learnings from competition, has been instrumental in its enduring success.
“To illustrate this further, let’s consider the concept of training “digital twins” leveraging Artificial Intelligence. Digital twins are virtual replicas of human thinking, used to simulate and optimize results. While the digital twin can provide valuable insights, it’s essential to remember that it’s a tool, not a substitute for the underlying processes and expertise.”
“Similarly, in the realm of content creation, replicating successful content is like creating a digital twin. It can provide a starting point, but it’s the underlying dedication, the consistent effort, and the willingness to adapt that will ultimately determine success. Moreover, the law of replication extends beyond content creation. It applies to any endeavor where success is sought. Whether you’re an entrepreneur building a business, an athlete striving for peak performance, or an artist seeking recognition, consistency is key,’’ he added.
Adesanya mentioned that replicating success requires more than superficial imitation, demands embracing the underlying principles, practices, and dedication that drive achievement.
