Climate change, environment issues take center stage at 11th edition of NIPR conference

The premier branch of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Lagos State Chapter, in collaboration with Addefort Limited, has announced the 11th edition of Lagos Public Relations Stakeholders Conference to address the issue of Climate change and Environmental issues.
The event with the theme: “Climate Change and Environment: Communication and the Sustainability Agenda” will be held at the MUSON Centre, Lagos on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
According to the Lagos Public Relations Stakeholders Conference is a bridge-building initiative to interact and proffer solutions to the social, political and economic challenges plaguing our nation.
In a post on its LinkedIn page, the organizer calls on all PR professionals to be part of the upcoming conference to equip themselves with information.
The post read: “Dear Professional Colleagues, we are just three days away from the Lagos NIPR Stakeholders Conference, where one of the most consequential global issues of our time will take centre stage. As PR professionals, we must be equipped with this information.”
The conversations on Climate change and Environmental issues will feature distinguished speakers including; the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Dr. Ike Neliaku, Comfort Obot Nwankwo, Chairman, Lagos NIPR, Segun Ajayi, Titi, Oshodi, Chioma Afe, and many more.
According to Mrs. Nwanko the August gathering will engage stakeholders on achieving the right communication agenda with regards to issues associated with climate change and environment, it will also recognize those that have been committed to the sustainability agenda in line with the United Nations sustainable development goals.
In the same development, Mr Olabaniji Adeneye Conference coordinator, CEO Addefort Limited, noted that participants at the event will include relations practitioners, students, environment experts, repressive from the government, corporate organizations, institutions, NGOs, HODs of relevant agencies, media among others will be present at the event.
