Beyoncé has unveiled the inaugural eight items of their hair care collection on their respective social media platforms. Drawing inspiration from global hair practices and Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles’ Houston hair salon, the collection features a range of products including a Clarifying Shampoo and Scalp Scrub, a Moisture Sealing Lotion, a Nourishing Hair Oil, and a Reconstructing Treatment Mask equipped with a patent-pending keratin treatment technology named Bioactive Keratin Ferment.
These offerings are priced between $30 and $52 and are exclusively accessible through Cécred’s online store.
This launch marks another venture by Beyoncé in the beauty space, following the successful debut of her fragrance line, Cé Noir, last year. Fragrance continues to play a key role in the Cécred brand identity,  with its flagship scent, Temple Oud, boasting a blend of oud, Australian sandalwood, warm musk, night-blooming jasmine, Haitian vetiver, and violet leaves.
Cécred emphasizes its commitment to inclusivity and scientific rigor throughout its product development process. The brand emphasizes its rigorous product development process, including extensive clinical, laboratory, and salon trials with an emphasis on inclusivity.
Key collaborators with Cécred include Beyoncé’s hairstylist Neal Farinah, who serves as the lead global stylist, and celebrity hairstylist and trichologist Dr. Kari Williams, who heads the brand’s education initiatives.
Tina Knowles holds the position of vice chairwoman, while Grace Ray, previously serving as CEO of Milani Cosmetics and Living Proof, assumes the role of chief executive, leading the company in partnership with Beyoncé.
This combination of established expertise and fresh perspectives from Beyoncé herself positions Cécred as a brand with the potential to make a significant impact in the hair care industry. It’s a brand rooted in tradition, drawing inspiration from family legacy and cultural practices, while also embracing scientific innovation and inclusivity. Whether Cécred lives up to the hype remains to be seen, but the initial offering certainly sets the stage for an exciting journey in the world of hair care.
