Ologunleko inspires personal reform, problem-solving at IAC 3.0
Leadership strategist and author, Amos Ologunleko, Manager Project Delivery, NLNG, delivered a thought-provoking keynote at the recently held Imperfectly Awesome Conversations (IAC) 3.0 Summit, challenging participants to stop managing symptoms and start confronting the real roots of personal and societal problems.
Speaking to a full house at the Muson Centre in Lagos, Amos delivered a powerful message that wove together leadership, personal development, and value-driven living. With characteristic clarity and conviction, he emphasised that the path to significance lies in taking full responsibility and intentionally becoming the answer to pressing problems.
“The world is not moved by your potential; it’s moved by the problems you solve,” he declared, urging the audience to reframe how they perceive their limitations and pain. According to him, challenges are not roadblocks but invitations to step into purpose.
He dissected four categories of resistance that hinder personal and professional growth, which he mentioned as challenges, obstacles, distractions, and internal enemies, while pointing out that the most dangerous one is often the resistance within. “You are either your greatest asset or your greatest liability. Until you confront your complacency, laziness, and fear, nothing changes.”
One of the most compelling parts of his address focused on the anatomy of problems. Amos explained that many people are stuck in cycles of frustration because they never truly define the problem they’re facing. “A problem is a deviation from what should be. But most of us try to fix the surface instead of interrogating the source.”

Using the analogy of a sick tree, he urged the audience to examine the root rather than the fruit. “When the fruit is bad, don’t just pluck it and hope for the best. Dig. Ask: What’s happening beneath the surface? Why did this begin?. Until we stop settling for cosmetic solutions, nothing foundational will change.”
Ologunleko challenged the audience at the IAC to start thinking like reformers who interrupt the norm and rebuild systems with clarity and courage. “Don’t just complain. Confront. Don’t just adjust. Reform. If you see the gap, perhaps you were meant to fill it.”
The business icon also spoke about ownership as a key principle for transformation, noting that progress rarely begins with blame. “When you’re always pointing fingers at your boss, your team, your background, or even the economy, you remain powerless, Responsibility is the gateway to growth.”
Referencing the inspirational story of Nick Vujicic, a man born without limbs who now inspires millions globally, he underscored the power of mindset and perspective. “No arms, no legs, no worries, Nick became the miracle he couldn’t find, that’s what each of us must become.”
He ended his keynote with a call to action that resonated across the hall. “Be the person who brings solutions. Build capacity. Multiply your value. Don’t just exist, reform your world.”
